Flower Child Gypsy Crown DIY

Make one of these fun floral gypsy crowns! super cute and summery!

1. thin leather strips
2. small (white) fake flowers
3. scissors
4. hot glue gun

1. Cut and glue the strip so that it fits around your head, pretty loose, but tight enough so it will sit gently on your forehead and looks like it fits.
2. Take another piece and cut it so that it is like a dome or arch shape over your head. glue it in place.
3. Attach flowers to the band. ( I glued two, off-center to the left, but feel free to do whatever with those!)

And here's the finished product! Hope you feel gypsy-inspired to make this leather crown too!

Pattern Fabric Shorts DIY

I've seen a lot of shorts with sewn on fabric patterns, like the flag, and LOVED them. Here's an easy way to make these cute summery shorts!

1. Shorts
2. piece of fabric
3. Fabric glue (you could sew it on, unless you're like me and not too savvy with sewing (: )
4. Scissors

1. Line up the curve of the sleeve or neckline with the pocket to prevent fraying there.
2.-4. Cut the fabric in a general outline of each pant leg, and then cut it just to the edge, leaving about an inch at the bottom.
5. Glue down the piece of fabric (i started with 3 of the sides, and then filled up the middle, and then i did the final side.)
6.-8. With the bottom inch or two of fabric, fold it up and glue the entire rim up to the fabric.

And Voila! the final product(s)!

You could try changing the shorts up a bit too, like by only doing half of the shorts, or doing the pockets instead! i want to try this with lace too!

Hope you love these shorts as much as i do and try them yourself!

Glass Terrarium DIY

Ever since I saw a fun little glass terrarium, I was fascinated by it. The earthy feel, colors, everything! After looking up how to make it online, I saw how easy it was, and i just had to try it myself. Hope you enjoy this simple DIY!

1. jar or glass container
2. cacti or succulents
3. soil
4. pebbles/small rocks
5. moss and other decorations

Pour in the rocks, then the soil. Have a little layer of each. (Some people use netting to prevent the two from combining, but that isn't necessary.)

Place the small plants into the soil.
REMEMBER that the point of a terrarium is mostly looks. Organize the plants and decorations in a way that is aesthetic and pleasing to people who see it.
Pat in the dirt to make sure all of the plants are secure.

And voila! A finished terrarium! I am so happy about how mine turned out! Remember to water the plants as much as is specified for them.
